Accessibility: the Museum is not wheelchair accessible.
You can however contact us on 058/203 17 30/31 (at least 7 working days in advance) to arrange for a special service with a stair lift to guarantee access to the first floor. Access by car to the front of the museum will be authorized.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm

Visitors also permitted during Museum opening hours subject to appointment

Opening Hours of the gardens 
Summer: 7:00 am - 8:00 pm (from 1 April to 30 September)

Winter: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm (from 1 October to 31 March)

How to reach the Museum

 

Walking

From Bellinzona FFS follow down Viale Stazione then via Lugano (map).

Distance: 20 min. (1,6 km).


With public transports

From Bellinzona FFS: bus line nr. 3, direction S. Antonino (Centri Commerciali), stop Isolabella. Then 4 minutes walk (map).  

Distance: 15 min. Timetable

 

By car

From South: Highway A9, direction Como - San Gottardo.                              

Exit: 47 – Bellinzona SUD (Camorino) 4 km. Map

From North: Highway A2, direction San Gottardo-Chiasso-Italia.                                   

Exit: 45 – Bellinzona NORD (Arbedo) 6.3 km. Map


Parking: There is a public pay car park on Piazza San Biagio, in front of the entrance to the Museum’s garden. However, the number of parking spaces is limited. The nearest public covered car park is the Via della Cervia near Piazza Indipendenza in the city centre. Parking spaces are available in the blue zone (compulsory parking disc) in the district, for free parking for a maximum of one hour from Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and from 1.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
